Voter turnout was much higher in rural southwest ridings compared to Windsor

As you have probably heard by now, there were no changes in power across all six provincial ridings covering Sarnia, Chatham and Windsor. That said, some of the numbers may or may not surprise you — here's the official breakdown.

How exactly did the candidates do?

Sarnia—Lambton

Bob Bailey (PC) 53% [margin: 7,806]
Kathy Alexander (NDP) 37%
Neil Wereley (Lib) 4%

Lambton—Kent—Middlesex

Monte McNaughton (PC) 55% [margin: 11,086]
Todd Case (NDP) 33%
Mike Radan (Lib) 6%

Chatham—Kent—Leamington

Rick Nicholls (PC) 52% [margin: 7,512]
Jordan McGrail (NDP) 36%
Margaret Schleier Stahl (Lib) 8%

Essex

Taras Natyshak (NDP) 49% [margin: 3,323]
Chris Lewis (PC) 42%
Kate Festeryga (Lib) 6%

Windsor-Tecumseh

Percy Hatfield (NDP) 58% [margin: 13,546]

2014 margins and order
