A Hamilton man who police say fled from their cruisers while weaving his motorcycle in and out of traffic on the QEW and driving more than 200 km/h is facing charges after an OPP helicopter tracked him to his garage.
The 28-year-old was using the shoulder to pass other vehicles and driving more than 170 km/h around 3:40 p.m. Monday afternoon, according to provincial police, who attempted to pull him over using their lights and sirens.
He managed to get away from officers on the ground, but was followed by a helicopter back to his garage where he was arrested as he parked his motorcycle.
Police have charged him with dangerous driving, fleeing from police, driving while disqualified and tampering with a vehicle identification number.
