Election panel: Waterloo candidates talk mental health for students, transit concerns

Mental health supports for university students, transit and social housing were the top issues discussed by three candidates for the riding of Waterloo during a provincial election panel on The Morning Edition on Tuesday.
The panel included Progressive Conservative candidate Dan Weber, Liberal candidate Dorothy McCabe and NDP candidate Catherine Fife.

As of Monday at noon, Elections Ontario lists five candidates for the riding. Also running in Waterloo are Green Party of Ontario candidate Zdravko Gunjevic and Libertarian Andrew Allison. The deadline for candidate nominations is May 17 at 2 p.m.
All week at 8:10 a.m., The Morning Edition features an interview panel with three local candidates from K-W ridings:
- Wednesday: Kitchener-Conestoga.
- Thursday: Kitchener South-Hespeler.
- Friday: Cambridge.
