Niagara Regional Police are searching for a man after he allegedly stabbed someone in what the service describes as a "targeted attack" early Friday morning.
Jason C. Smith knocked on the door of a home near the corner of Maureen Avenue and Donna Marie Drive in Welland around 3 a.m. to confront the homeowner about a "personal dispute," according to police.
The 43-year-old began to fight with the homeowner and cut him before fleeing, police said.
Smith is considered "armed and dangerous" and is wanted for aggravated assault.
He's believed to be driving a black 2009 Dodge Ram pickup with a licence plate that reads AA28912.
Anyone who spots Smith or the truck is asked to call police.
