Pedestrian struck about 3 a.m. in 200 block of 15th Avenue S.W. on April 22
Calgary police say they have found the vehicle — a 2003 Silver Mitsubishi Eclipse — involved in a hit and run that sent a pedestrian to hospital last month, but they're still looking for the driver.
The pedestrian was struck by a southbound car at the intersection of Second Street and 15th Avenue S.W. at about 3 a.m. on April 22. The pedestrian was hit as he and another man were crossing the road.
The victim was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition. Police say the victim remains in hospital.
The collision reconstruction unit continues to investigate the collision and ask that anyone who was a witness or knows the offender to contact Const. Tapatha Curnew at the traffic office at 403-567-4000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Before locating the vehicle, police said on Monday it was believed to be a 2003 Silver Mitsubishi Eclipse and that it was seen travelling south along Second Street S.W. Police think it turned west onto 17th Avenue S.W. after hitting the pedestrian.
