Charlottetown cruise season opens

92 visits scheduled this year

The Veendam is in port Wednesday, officially launching the Charlottetown cruise-ship season.
The port is expecting its biggest season ever.
There are 92 visits on the schedule, but the season starts slowly, with just eight scheduled for May 2-18.
The schedule includes a four-ship day, on Oct. 16, with the last scheduled visit on Nov. 4.
