A man originally from The Pas, Man., has been arrested after an aggressive panhandler smashed a driver's windshield in south Winnipeg early Saturday morning, police say.

Officers were called about an aggressive panhandler at the corner of Fermor Avenue and Lagimodiere Boulevard around 2:50 a.m.

The woman said she had stopped at the intersection when a man came up to her vehicle and started to squeegee her driver's side window, despite the fact she made several indications she did not want her vehicle cleaned.

When finished, the man demanded payment, but&nbsp;when the driver refused, he hit her front windshield several times, shattering the window, police said.

A 27-year-old man has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and identity&nbsp;fraud.

Families 'grieving together' after Humboldt coroner mixup

The families of two young hockey players caught in Friday's tragic bus crash near Tisdale, Sask., say they are "grieving together" after a coroner mistakenly said one of the teens was alive and that the other was dead.

Two people on the bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team when it crashed were misidentified — one player pronounced as dead is alive, and another believed to be alive is dead, the Saskatchewan Justice Ministry says. One of the players initially announced as dead was identified as Xavier Labelle, right. In fact, Labelle survived the crash. Parker Tobin, another of the 15 who died, was previously "misidentified" and believed to have survived, the ministry said.
