On Day Two of the Canada Reads(external link) debates, Greg Johnson, defending Precious Cargo by Craig Davidson, highlighted the book's humour and everyday message of inclusion.
"It's about laughter. It's about humour. It's about understanding that people with special needs are approachable. They're important and they're just as much a part of our society as anyone else." In response to fellow panellist Tahmoh Penikett voting against his title on day one, Johnson said:"We'll convince him with humour and emotion."
