Miles Krzyzewski, 25, charged after victim, 23, found dead in vehicle parked at Billings Bridge mall
A man charged with second-degree murder in a stabbing outside an Ottawa shopping mall Sunday night is the son of a victim in the fatal Barrhaven bus-train crash in 2013, a source has confirmed to CBC News.
Police officers responding to the Billings Bridge Shopping Centre around 10 p.m. Sunday arrested Miles Krzyzewski, 25, after receiving a 911 call from mall staff who spotted him walking around the shopping centre with injuries.
Officers were then directed to a car parked outside the mall's Walmart, where they found the bloodied body of 23-year-old Kalen Bryan-Bradley.
After a brief court appearance Monday, Krzyzewski was charged with second-degree murder in Bryan-Bradley's death.
Krzyzewski is the son of Karen Krzyzewski, one of six people who were killed on an OC Transpo bus after it collided with an oncoming Via Rail train on Sept. 18, 2013.

Police found Krzyzewski when they arrived, but won't confirm the nature of his injuries. Another person found inside the vehicle was also taken into custody.
Ottawa police Const. Chuck Benoit said the investigation is ongoing.
"There's the coroner that has to get involved to see what's the time of death. We still need to confirm ... the location of the incident itself," he said. "There's a little bit more to investigate than just finding the body in the car."
Data Centre Road was closed for the investigation until just before 7 a.m. Monday.
