You don't always need a grill to cook a perfect steak.
In the above video, Julie Van Rosendaal demonstrates to the Calgary Eyeopener's(external link) Angela Knight how to cook a steak in a skillet.
The process includes infusing it with flavours like garlic and rosemary, and knowing when it's done well — but not well done.
All you need is a hot pan, a slab of Alberta beef, a bit of oil or butter, salt and pepper to taste and some herbs and garlic.
