Several roads have closed in Wilmot, Woolwich and Wellesley as a result of flooding
Towns and cities near the Grand River watershed are still under a flood warning as continuing snow melt and significant rain fall has caused river levels to rise.
In a statement, the Grand River Conservation Authority said the watershed has received 20 to 30 millimetres of rain over the last 24 hours and anticipate an additional 20 to 25 mm of rain over the next day.
A rainfall warning is in effect for Waterloo Region and Wellington County, according to Environment Canada.
50 to 75 mm of rain is expected to fall throughout Tuesday and into Wednesday, causing several roads to close in surrounding townships.

"More of our problems are going to occur later this evening, overnight and into tomorrow," he said. "We are anticipating the Nith river is going to rise and continue to rise until the rainfall stops."
