Towns and cities near the Grand River watershed are still under a flood warning(external link) as continuing snow melt and significant rain fall has caused river levels to rise.
In a statement, the Grand River Conservation Authority said the watershed has received 20 to 30 millimetres of rain over the last 24 hours and anticipate an additional 20 to 25 mm of rain over the next day.

"More of our problems are going to occur later this evening, overnight and into tomorrow," he said. "We are anticipating the Nith river is going to rise and continue to rise until the rainfall stops."
