Waterloo region and Wellington County could see significant rain fall this Family Day.
In a special weather statement from Environment Canada, 10 to 20 millimetres of rain could fall by Tuesday along with record-breaking temperatures, typically seen in April.
Tuesday's high will be 14 C.
A warm front with a low pressure area will move through the region Monday night and with it, a significant amount of rainfall.
The rainfall and the melting snow, as a result of warmer temperatures, may result in ponds of water around poorly drained areas.
