Wayne and Diane had purchased this Moffat, Ont. farmhouse in June 1996, six months before Wayne was killed. It was a large property that held out a great promise — a freshwater spring — at a time when bottled water was becoming popular.

There was a fish farm next door, where Giuseppe "Joe" Zottich lived in a trailer on the property. Coincidentally, this was the same "Joe" mentioned in the letter that was sent with the flashlight bomb.
