Every Monday, CBC Arts runs down the latest arts and culture news on State of the Arts, a live chat between our very own Amanda Parris(external link), Peter Knegt(external link) and Romeo Candido(external link). And for our first edition of the new year, it was all about the Golden Globes.

While Romeo was regrettably absent this week (though he did manage to troll the comments anyway), Amanda and Peter went over last night's big show, discussing everything from the winners and losers, the atmosphere in the wake of the sexual harassment scandals and — of course — Oprah Winfrey bringing down the house with her already legendary speech.
