Restrictions had been put in place before midnight
High winds affected traffic on the Confederation Bridge on Thursday.
Restrictions were put in place at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday. The restrictions prevent high-sided vehicles, such as transport trucks, from crossing the bridge. The restrictions were lifted early Thursday afternoon, but put back in place later in the day.
In an advisory issued Wednesday afternoon, bridge officials said the forecast suggested restrictions could remain in place until 11 p.m. Thursday.
The restrictions also include buses and motorcycles.
Since the ferry to Nova Scotia closed Wednesday morning, the bridge is the only way for vehicles to get on and off the Island.
