Two women told police they were held against their will in a southwest home early last Friday
Calgary police have charged a man with sexual assault after two women said they were held against their will in a Parkhill residence.
The incident took place in the early morning hours of Dec. 8. Police said they were called to a residence in the 200 block of 42nd Avenue S.W. around 5:30 a.m. after the two young women left the home.
The tactical unit was called to help officers remove three people from the home.
One person was arrested, while the other two were released without charges after being questioned.
"The investigation has determined that the two young women arrived at the home in the early morning hours of Friday, Dec. 8, to meet an acquaintance," said police in a news release.
"A short time later, one of the occupants of the home allegedly sexually assaulted one of the women."
Police have charged James Etienne, 22, of Quebec with one count of sexual assault.
