It's that time of year again. The region is buzzing with holiday markets and there are festive decorations lighting up the streets. But not everyone in Waterloo region is filled with a sense of hope this holiday season.
We here at CBC Kitchener-Waterloo had an incredible kick-off to our Sounds of the Season event on Friday, Dec. 1. The Morning Edition host Craig Norris(external link) led us through a morning of giving, filled with musical performances by local musicians and heart-warming stories of need on CBC Radio One 89.1 FM,(external link)
The annual charity drive supports The Food Bank of Waterloo Region(external link) who serve more than 100 local agencies and programs that provide nutrition education, counselling, employment skills and shelter in addition to much needed food items.
