Most movies take months or even years to produce, so the idea of writing, shooting and cutting a short film in just two days may sound impossible. But that's what's going to happen next weekend.

The Windsor International Film Festival is holding FlickFest, a 48-hour competition that's open to everyone, explained executive director Vincent Georgie.

"This is for people that want to have all sorts of equipment and gear at their houses. This is for people that want to make the film on their iPhone," he said. "Even for teams that have never done anything like this, but want to throw some people together and say, 'Let's play around and see what we could do.' Go for it!"

The are two $1,000 prizes for the top short films and all entries will be screened during WIFF, which begins October 30th.
