The first Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Honouring and Awareness Day was held on Oct. 4, and groups gathered across Canada to remember those who are gone.
The day, which was declared in Manitoba in May 2017 and honoured in other provinces, saw family, friends, loved ones and supporters gather in groups across the country to march and pray together.
