CBC's Political Panel waded through this week's many&nbsp;Saskatchewan political stories on Friday, including a discussion about Premier Brad Wall's revelation he had been interviewed by RCMP in relation to the Global Transportation Hub land deal.

Brad Wall's long-time chief of staff, Joe Donlevy, retired Wednesday. The announcement came a day after 

 for being in a 2013 email chain in which a government official discussed a high-value appraisal that was part of the negotiations to buy a 204-acre parcel of land for the GTH.

Premier Brad Wall has revealed he went through a "very thorough" interview with the RCMP over a deal involving land outside of Regina.

Joe Donlevy is leaving his role as Premier Brad Wall’s chief of staff. The premier’s office says that he is departing from his long-time position to pursue business opportunities in the private sector.

Email shows Bill Boyd and premier's office were 'concocting a scheme' to pay too much for GTH land, NDP says

A single sentence in a high-level internal email the government has been trying to keep from the public appears to contradict what Bill Boyd and the premier's office have been telling Saskatchewan people about the Global Transportation Hub land deal for the past 19 months, says the provincial NDP.

On November 11, 2013 minister responsible for the GTH, Bill Boyd and Joe Donlevy, Premier Brad Wall's chief of staff were sent a copy of Anthony Marquart's $129k appraisal.

On November 11, 2013, the Minister responsible for the GTH, Bill Boyd (right) and Joe Donlevy, Premier Brad Wall's chief of staff, were sent a copy of Anthony Marquart's $129,000 appraisal. 

This prompted questions to the premier from media about whether Donlevy's departure was at all related to the GTH case, which Wall emphatically denied.

Wall revealed to media later that he had been subject to an "extensive" interview with RCMP around the GTH.
