Welcome to Marc Cooper's garage. "I call it the kill room," says the painter. He's joking, of course — but corny as it sounds, this mixed-media artist is here to slay. On this episode of The Places We Make Art, directed by Yan Dal Santo, Cooper takes you inside his plastic-wrapped home studio in Toronto, where he shows off his (messy) signature technique: pouring cups of acrylic paint directly on canvas. Some locals might have seen him at work before; Cooper competed at the Toronto edition of Art Battle back in March. He's also one of the contributing artists to The Brain Project, an annual public art show featuring more than 100 sculptures that can be found around the city in support of Baycrest Health Sciences.
