Passenger dies after southeast Calgary crash with truck that killed driver

The driver of the small car died Wednesday in collision with a truck at 130th Avenue S.E. shopping district

A second person has died after the car she was in was struck by a pickup truck near the entrance to a Superstore parking lot in southeast Calgary.
The crash happened around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 128th Avenue and 46th Street S.E., just north of McKenzie Towne.
The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, died at the scene.

His passenger, a woman in her 20s, was critically injured and taken to hospital in life-threatening condition.
An official confirmed Friday afternoon that she had died.
The driver of the pickup truck, a man in his 30s, suffered less severe injuries. He was released from hospital on Friday.
Police are still investigating the cause of the collision.
