It's back to class for students at four Calgary schools today.
The Calgary Catholic School District offers a year-round schedule at four of its schools for parents who choose it for their children.
Students who opt for the year-round system get a shorter summer vacation in exchange for a two-week holiday in October and an extra week of holidays at both Christmas and Easter.
The schools offering year-round classes are:
  • Monsignor Neville Anderson School at 327 Sandarac Drive N.W.
  • St. Joseph School at 2512 5th St. N.W.
  • Our Lady of Fatima School at 6320 Taralea Park N.E.
  • Father Scollen School at 6839 Temple Drive N.E.
The Catholic board's traditional calendar schools begin the 2017-2018 year on Sept. 5.
Schools on the regular calendar in the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) system also go back to class on Sept. 5.
Classes start on Aug. 15 for students at the CBE's 31 modified calendar schools.
