Culprit was following woman through store before incident happened
Police are asking for help in locating a man suspected of sexually touching a woman as she was shopping at a southeast Calgary store a week ago, police say.
The woman was at the Walmart in the 300 block of Shawville Boulevard S.E at about 10:15 p.m. on July 25 when she noticed a stranger following her in the store.
He then stood in front of her and touched her inappropriately without her consent, police say.
The woman got away and alerted two nearby men.
It's believed the same man had earlier approached another woman in the store.
The suspect is described as about 25 years old and five feet 10 inches tall. He had dark hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a long, grey hoodie at the time of the incident.
Investigators want to talk to anyone who might have had contact with the suspect around the time of the offence or who can identify him.
Anyone with information should call police at 403-266-1234 or contact Crime Stoppers.
