Witnesses on scene report that the male was taking photographs when he fell in
A 33-year-old man is dead after falling into Elbow Falls Saturday evening.
Police and paramedics responded at about 8:20 p.m. to reports a man had fallen into the falls near Bragg Creek.
"Attempts are underway to retrieve the deceased however dangerous water conditions are making recovery efforts difficult," RCMP said in a release Sunday.
"Witnesses on scene report that the male was taking photographs when he fell in."
Police remained on scene Sunday and a dive team was called in to help.
"The public is reminded to be mindful of barriers put in place for their safety," police said.
Bragg Creek is about 60 kilometres west of Calgary.
