Musical comedy duo Die Roten Punkte is back at the Winnipeg Fringe — and they've got sass to spare.
Ostensibly related and obviously not-actually-German, Otto and Astrid Rot are a costumed, musical comedy duo in the vein of Flight of the Conchords or Spinal Tap. All you really need to know is this: they're hilarious.
While their songs are clever and their musicianship is impressive, their interstitial banter is the real star of the show. Irreverent and enthusiastic, performers Clare Bartholomew and Daniel Tobias will surely have you leaving the venue with a smile on your face.
It's a shame that chairs have been set up for this club show as the pair regularly had the packed house dancing in their seats.
Grab a beer, some friends, and watch this glittery, faux-German duo do its thing. You won't regret it.
