A guided tour of one woman's coming of age, Sex Ed is peppered with Disney songs with new and improved lyrics. Take this premise, team it with writer/performer Kerry Ipema (who is charm personified) and you have an absolute winner.
Ipema has pluck, vulnerability and an amazing set of pipes. One of my favourite numbers is the Frat House Education with new lyrics sung to The Little Mermaid's Part of Your World.
Part of me feels I should give a warning for an 18+ audience for content, but this is a gift of a show for a teen audience. I wish we'd all seen this performance in junior high school because Ipema brings light and hope to all those coming of age.
Ipema brings light and hope to all of those coming of age. - Bradley Sawatsky
TJ Dawe was the dramaturge for the show, and Ipema was here earlier with One Woman Sex and the City.
This is a sure thing.
