Joe Job is a compelling look at the frustration of failure and how fresh perspectives open up new possibilities. We start with poor Joe. He's had enough of the teaching grind, so he quits it all to get an everyday "Joe job." He finds himself at a coffee shop working alongside Sam, one of his former "problem" students.

What follows is an intense hour of honest dialogue between two strong personalities who come at each other hard. There's no wilted wallflowers here. These two have issues and they use each other to work them out.

The tone of Cory Wojcik's script is sharp and unflinching. He and Ava Darrach-Gagnon perform the heck out of their roles and move through Fools + Horses with a comfortable ease. That movement gave the audience a heightened feeling of intimacy.

The superb acting and unique venue make this show an absolute must. The cafe is cozy, so get there early. Maybe grab a cup of joe before Joe and Sam begin their verbal dance.
