Picture it. A packed theatre full of Fringers buzzing with anticipation. That's a tough room. Expectations are high and one of the festival's hottest shows needs to deliver the goods. And boy, does The Canada Show deliver. For one rip-roaring hour, the folks from Vancouver's Monster Theatre take you on a hilarious (and frenetic) voyage through Canada's past, without having to endure all that stuffy voice-over business.
Your history guides, if you choose to accept, are three Canadians trying to get along with each other while using Canadian pop-culture icons to spin the tales of our history-making figures. Watch as Finnegan from Mr. Dressup takes a dark turn, let Bieber guide you through the fur trade, or see how Tiny Tim Horton fits into the Mackenzie King Conscription Carol.
Your Canadian senses are tingling right now, aren't they? Well, Louis Riel in an Old West duel (cue whistle sound effect) might put you over the edge...of the Rockies.
