Calgary police say they have located a person of interest, and are trying to determine their involvement
Calgary police have a person of interest in custody in relation to an overnight shooting in downtown Calgary, but they are still on the hunt for the victim.
Around 1 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to the area of 10th Street and 10th Avenue S.W.
Acting Sgt. David Fakas says it's not known how many shots were fired, but police interviewed several witnesses at the scene.
"At this time we don't have any victims, no one has come forward with any kind of injuries," he said.
Police are also canvassing hospitals, asking staff to be on the lookout for patients who show up with injuries consistent with a gunshot.
The person of interest is being interviewed by police to determine his involvement in the incident, Fakas said.
