Dallas Zoo video of Zola goes wild online, 6 years after his Calgary breakdancing garnered 4 million views
The Dallas Zoo is sharing video of a gorilla that zoo officials say has a passion for splashing.
Zola is a 14-year-old Western lowland gorilla who was first seen in a viral video years ago while he lived at the Calgary Zoo.
He's the youngest of four gorillas in the zoo's bachelor troupe.
In the latest video, recorded by zookeeper Ashley Orr on May 15, Zola spins and splashes in a big, blue pool that is one of many enrichment items the gorilla keepers use to engage primates.
Zookeepers say Zola's "dancing" is really just a play behavior and it signifies when an animal is content or comfortable.
