Suspect fired twice in general direction of a 7-Eleven clerk, police say, but no injuries reported
Two shots were fired during an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Strathmore early Saturday, police say.
Police say two men went into the store about 2:10 a.m., one of them being armed with a long-barreled rifle, which was pointed at customers and a staff member while the robbers demanded cigarettes and cash.
Once the staff member handed over the money and cigarettes, the armed robber fired twice — while still inside the store — aiming in the general direction of the staff member, who wasn't injured.
The two men then fled in a waiting vehicle.
