Chandrababu Thambu, 56, and his son Preijanthan Chandrababu, 25, were found dead inside their home
Police have released names of two men killed in a double homicide in Panorama Hills on the weekend.
Chandrababu Thambu, 56, and his son Preijanthan Chandrababu, 25, were found dead inside their home in the 1-100 block of Panamount Common N.W. about 5:15 a.m. on Saturday.
Emergency crews were called to the home for reports of four people in medical distress.
A third man was taken to hospital suffering serious injuries and has since been released.
A fourth man — a 27-year-old suspected in the two deaths — was taken to hospital suffering critical injuries where he remains.
Police said the suspect will be charged when he is medically fit and that he is not a member of the family but was known to them.
A woman also inside the home at the time of the attacks was uninjured.
Thambu and Chandrababu worked at ServiceMaster in Calgary and the company is now fundraising to have their bodies returned to Toronto, where they lived previously and also worked for the company.
A funeral is planned for June 18.
"They were really nice, hard working people who did everything to the letter," said Chris Feist, general manager of ServiceMaster in Calgary. "Customers loved them and we loved them and thought they were great. It's just an absolute shock that something like this happened."
