The case involving criminal charges against Thunder Bay Police Chief J.P. Levesque has been remanded to July 18 after the matter was first before the courts on Tuesday.
Levesque was charged with breach of trust and obstructing justice by Ontario Provincial Police in May.
In a brief Ontario Court of Justice hearing in Thunder Bay on Tuesday, Jason Nicol, the crown attorney prosecuting the case, requested more time for disclosure to Levesque's defence counsel. Levesque was not present at the hearing.

Levesque is being defended by Brian Gover, who also was not at Tuesday's hearing. He was represented by duty counsel.
The July 18 court date is to set another date for a judicial pre-trial, which is a closed meeting among lawyers and a judge to discuss issues that could arise should the case go to trial.
