A man is dead and a woman is in hospital after what Calgary police say was an attempted murder and suicide early Thursday morning.
Emergency crews were called to a residence in Radisson Heights-Albert Park in the 1100 block of 35th Street S.E. just before 2 a.m. by a woman saying she had been shot in a dispute with her partner, police say.
Inside the house, officers found a badly injured 44-year-old woman, as well as a 15-year-old who was not injured.
Also in the house was a 48-year-old man, who was pronounced dead.
The woman was rushed to hospital in critical condition, but her condition was upgraded to stable later in the day.
