The Fall Flavours Festival schedule has been announced for this year's event, happening from Sept. 1 to Oct. 1.
The month-long culinary carnival features hands-on activities hosted by locals, the P.E.I. Beer Festival and P.E.I. Shellfish Festival, as well as events hosted by celebrity chefs.
Chef Michael Smith, the proprietor of the Inn at Bay Fortune and Fireworks will be on hand at Beef N' Blues, a celebration of beef featuring live music, Oysters on the Pier, and Grilling and Chilling.
He will also host Chef's Island, where chefs from P.E.I. and across Canada use Island ingredients to create dishes.

Hands-on experience

Festivalgoers have the chance to pick potatoes, catch lobster and harvest oysters, while learning about the activity from a local host.
At the end of the experience people will have a chance to taste or cook the fruits of their labour.
