Early-morning call to police
The Regina Police Service (RPS) received a call about an injured man on the 900 block of Albert Street at about 2:20 a.m. CST Saturday.
When officers arrived they found Pasap injured. He was pronounced dead after being rushed to hospital by ambulance.
Police said they were working with the chief coroner's office to investigate the death. Forensics and major crimes units are also involved in the investigation.
The service did not say whether Pasap's death is being treated as a homicide though one member of the RPS said there is a court date Tuesday morning related to the investigation.
The White Pony Lodge is holding a candle light vigil for Pasap this Thursday. The location has yet to be decided.
