A few frustrated ticked holders even went as far as to compare Pemberton to the disastrous Fyre Festival
The cancelation of the Pemberton Music Festival has left thousands of ticket holders in the lurch and many of those have turned to social media to express their frustration.
Some even went as far as to compare #PembyFest to the disastrous Fyre Festival, which left concert goers stranded in the Bahamas in "Hunger Games-like conditions."
Organizers of the Pemberton Music Festival pulled the plug on the July 13 - 16 event by declaring bankruptcy, citing a $10 million cash shortfall.
There are no automatic refunds for ticket buyers, but people may file a proof of claim form with Ernst & Young, and those who used a credit card for their purchase are advised to contact their bank or credit card issuer to see if they can obtain a refund.
An average of 18,230 ticket sales per festival day had been sold before the cancellation, according to Ernst & Young.
