'A powerful and dynamic economic force': ACOA supports business women's association

Women's association receives a total of $169,664 in government funding
Ottawa and the P.E.I. government have come together to show their support for the work of the P.E.I. Business Women's Association.
In Charlottetown and communities across Prince Edward Island, we see an invigorated and growing business community thanks to the vision of Island women entrepreneurs and business professionals," said MP Sean Casey in a news release.
The association received grants this week from three different federal and provincial agencies.
- ACOA: $152,491.
- Status of Women Canada: $3,163.
- P.E.I. Women's Secretariat: $14,000.
"Women in P.E.I. are a powerful and dynamic economic force, and we are thrilled to provide networking, business development, resources and tools to support women across the entire province," said Hannah Bell, executive director of the P.E.I. Business Women's Association.
