Victim in Regina's 2nd homicide of 2017 identified as 46-year-old man

Rodney James Nippi died of his injuries after a home invasion on Sunday, police say
The victim of a fatal home invasion on Sunday has been identified by police as 46-year-old Rodney James Nippi of Regina.
Nippi died from his injuries after he was assaulted with a weapon in his home on Sunday, police say.
His name was being withheld pending contact with his next-of-kin.
Regina police were dispatched to a home on the 1400 block of 12th Avenue around 8 p.m. CST on Sunday.
Nippi was found unresponsive and later died.
His death is being investigated as the second homicide of the year in Regina.
The police investigation is ongoing and no one has been identified as a suspect in the death.
