2014 CBC Creative Nonfiction Prize longlist announced

Thirty-five writers are on the longlist for the 2014 CBC Creative Nonfiction Prize.
One of them will win the Grand Prize: $6,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts, publication in Air Canada's enRoute magazine, and a two-week writing residency at The Banff Centre. Four other finalists will receive $1,000 each.
The longlisted works of nonfiction are (in alphabetical order by author):
