New episodes to be released each Monday on club's website
The first episode of the web series Lovely Witches Club was launched online Monday along with re-launch of its website and club.
The shows co-creators Renee Laprise and Patti Larsen say their new paranormal series is about a young filmmaker who's hired to make a documentary involving witches of Prince Edward Island.
"We're very excited about the entire project," said Larsen. "The LWC has been a passion of ours since we launched our first Witches Ball in 2009."
The women said the concept grew out of that initial idea which offered women a place to be expressive and enthusiastic creators.
"This chance to turn the brand into a web series gave us the opportunity to reach even more lovely witches," said Larson.
A new show will be released each Monday. Larsen and Laprise received funding from Telefilm Canada, the Talent Fund and Innovation PEI to create the web series.
The website has a pay-what-you-wish format and offers a forum for sharing artwork, writing and other creative innovations among members.
