Province taking RFPs on the property to remove the building and restore the site
The building that housed the closed The Deck Restaurant in Mount Mellick, P.E.I., is going to disappear altogether soon.
The Department of Transportation, Infrastructure and Energy is taking requests for proposals on the property to remove the building and restore the site.
The province acquired the land last year during Trans-Canada Highway upgrades in the area.
Department officials say the building is in good enough shape that it could be reused if someone is willing to move it.
RFPs are being accepted until Friday, May 5.
