Bridgefest 150 unveils more performers, attractions

3-day event billed as main Confederation anniversary celebration in the Maritimes

Organizers have released more details about BridgeFest 150, the three-day P.E.I. event billed as the main Canada 150 celebration in the Maritimes.
The event includes a fireworks display in Borden-Carleton, a concert in Summerside featuring Burton Cummings, a run for families on the Confederation Bridge and various festivities at the Gateway Village on the Island side of the bridge.
Details trumpeted on Thursday include:
  • Performances by local musicians Gadelle, Meaghan Blanchard and More Soul.
  • Participation of chef Michael Smith.
  • Bridge tours, boat tours and helicopter rides.
  • Kids' attractions including an inflatables park and petting farm.
  • A "major display" from the Hockey Hall of Fame.
  • A Concours Cars show.
  • Descriptions of the run route, as well as the design of the participation medal and race T-shirt
