The Mayors' Council is putting the pressure on all provincial political parties to commit to a 10 year plan to fund Metro Vancouver transit upgrades beyond the announced Surrey LRT and Broadway subway line.
"We need to fund the entire 10 year plan to support priorities like replacing the Pattullo Bridge and upgrades to SkyTrain and HandyDART," said Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson.
The #CureCongestion(external link) campaign as it is being called wants B.C. political parties to state their position on a plan to solve transit overcrowding and road congestion before the May 9 provincial election.
