It's not often you get a narrated walkthrough of an artist's portfolio. But in our new segment "Artfolio," that's exactly what you're doing. And our first tour guide is somebody you may have seen here before: photographer Dina Goldstein(external link), whose series of fallen princesses shot her into the spotlight — and then her disgruntled Barbie series(external link) kept her there.
But Goldstein's career didn't begin with these forlorn royals. In this video, the photographer talks about the milestones in her career that were pivotal to her artistic development. Goldstein takes you through her trajectory from photojournalist, to editorial photographer, to the decision to make art her full-time job.
Goldstein(external link)'s new series is called "Modern Girl" — you can see it here(external link).
