Farah Mohamed is an award-winning activist. She is the founder and CEO of G(irls)20(external link), a globally active social profit enterprise that promotes the economic and educational empowerment of girls and women. Born in Uganda and raised in Burlington, Ontario, she served as a senior political aide before leaving politics to work with VON Canada(external link) and the Belinda Stronach Foundation. She has been named one of the BBC's "100 Women" and Women of Influence's "Top 25 Women of Influence in Canada." Mohamed contributes to the Huffington Post and is a former weekly columnist with the Globe and Mail.
