Measha Brueggergosman defended Company Town by Madeline Ashby on Canada Reads 2017. The book made it to the debate finals before being eliminated on Day Four.
Born and raised in Fredericton, N. B., Measha Brueggergosman is an award-winning international opera singer and is widely hailed as one of the great sopranos of the 21st century. Her voice has taken her around the world to perform in Toronto, New York, London, Spain, Ghana and Brazil. She has performed for Nelson Mandela, Kofi Annan and Queen Elizabeth II. More than three billion people watched her performance at the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver Olympic Games in 2010. Her most recent project, Songs of Freedom, is a film, television series, interactive website, and musical album that tells Brueggergosman's journey through her family's history.
