Toronto-based artist, Ryan Faist, created these prints of famous Canadians recreated as cats, exclusively for CBC Life. "I wanted to feature Canadians that represented an "iconic" look. Particularly ones that have that one image associated with them" Ryan said when we asked how and why he chose these celebrities. "The ability to create a look that transcends the original photo is powerful to me."

"I simply have a love of cats and the fame that has come to certain Canadians in recent pop culture history." Ryan said when asked what inspired the project. "I think it's funny to put animals into human situations. It's nice to mock celebrities...in an innocent way.
