NASSAU, BAHAMAS—Currently beset by questions from journalists and political colleagues alike about his New Year's Eve that seems to have been spent with the Aga Khan, an influential billionaire, Justin Trudeau has announced that he will waste no time before convening an immediate vacation to see whether he can get to the bottom of the situation.
"I have asked my assistants to put off any other engagements and interviews and to book plane tickets immediately," said Trudeau. "There is no question that this must be dealt with. People expect answers from their Prime Minister, and those answers must be found. It's quite possible they will be found on a beach. There's no way of knowing until I'm there, and of course shirtless."

"It will be somewhere warm, I know that," said an aide to the Prime Minister. "I can't give out too many details, obviously, due to privacy concerns. But it will involve some of his top ministers, and some wealthy potential donors, just so they can weigh in on what might be Aga Khan's take on the situation. The talks will be long and arduous, so it will be catered by one of the best chefs in Cuba. I mean downtown Ottawa. I meant to say Ottawa there, and that's what you should write."
The Prime Minister will likely be incommunicado during the proceedings, due to the intensive nature of the discussions and the unpredictable nature of island Wi-Fi, but has expressed to all Canadians that he is here with them, and here for them, though more specifically he will be there for them, though it was unclear whether he was referring to the visited region as a whole or the specific chaise longue on which he may or may not be sitting at any given time.
At press time, there was no confirmation whether his plans may conflict with other appointments, nor whether his guests or funding for the trip may conflict with any interests, or laws, or good sense.
